My name is Lisa DiMaggio and
I own and operate Glitzy Girlz.
I began the dream of having my
own business 9 years ago and
have been evolving and reaching
new successes each year. Through
these years I have been raising
two sons (10 and 2 years) and
have had a blessed marriage of
13 years. My business has given
me confidence, financial gain
and more importantly joy and
happiness. This is not a “job”
by any means. It is a fulfilling
way of making money, but the
young children smiles and
laughter have been more
inspiring to me than any
paycheck. Many people ask me-
“How do you do this every
weekend” or “How do you have so
much patience.” My answer to
that is I love what I do. There
is no greater satisfaction then
creating something from the
ground up and knowing you
nurtured it and put your heart
and soul into it. To have it
become a success is just even
sweeter! To all my clients and
past customers who have utilized
our services for the past 9
years, thanks for all the
support! I hope I can continue
to grow and give you new and
exciting services for the
future.
I have been told by many people
in my life that I am very
inspiring and Glitzy Girlz has
impressed them very much. To be
an inspiration is very important
to me and I love the challenge
of being a role model to others.
I am going to share some very
personal information with the
viewers of this site and those
to be potential customers and
past customers who have worked
with me.
I am doing this for the SOLE
purpose of my love for children
and the need to inspire others
to help me save them…
I was raised in a family being
the eldest of two other
siblings. I have a sister and a
brother, all of us four years
apart in age. For just about 9
years BOTH of my siblings have
been battling a horrific drug
addition to Heroin.
My life has been changed forever
along with theirs and my
parents. My mother and father
are my best friends and the pain
I have witnessed for this time
has been unimaginable. I being a
mother myself, fear this
happening all to me and my
husband. I can go into my story
more, but I will remain there
because that is my most
important point of this story. I
am going to educate my children
and do whatever I can to prevent
their lives to be taken from
drug abuse. My story is very
extreme and graphic, but that is
why I feel so passionate about
looking out for the children.
I am inspired to start a mission
of my own called “Dream for
Drugs” Campaign. When I have
been in the darkest of moments
with my family, I have often
thought..why has this happened
to my life? How can I have such
a blessed life with two healthy
children and loving home, but
yet struggle everyday with my
other family?
Then it all seemed to come
together. Why Glitzy Girlz was
put into my life and my
challenges with my siblings. I
was put here to be a bridge
between both worlds. I witness
the innocence and laughter of
carefree youth. I also witness
the horror of two souls taken
away from drugs. I truly
believe, a higher power wants me
to stop this from happening to
our children. One day…they were
those careful little boys and
girls…
Like many people who start
foundations, alliances or
fundraising society it comes
from a passion and desire inside
you. These are inspirational
people who think they can make a
difference. Everyone involved
has been affected somehow and
that is what leads them to be a
leader in their cause.
The time has come for me to do
my part and dedicate my life to
saving the children from drug
abuse. My brother is released
from jail in May 2010 after
serving 2 ½ years. I want to
save him before he is taken
again from us.
My knowledge of how to do begin
all this is next to none..I am
welcoming anybody interested in
helping Glitzy Girlz and there
platform against drug abuse. My
goal to become involved with
schools, speaking opportunities
and fundraising. One day my
dream would be to have a
Outreach Fun Center.
On my site, you find I am
sponsoring GiGi’s Playhouse. The
leader, Nancy Gianni is a
inspiration to me.
I would love to educate and have
community involvement for young
children against drugs. Nancy
has a child with Downs Syndrome
and she dedicated her life to
awareness of the disease and
enrichment for it’s members.
I wish I can save millions of
children with the experiences
that I have, but until Dreams
for Drugs get momentum..I need
to just save my own. |
